Arkansas Taking Steps to “Enhance Ticket Revenue”

February 23, 2010 by Vignesh · Leave a Comment

For the second time in three years Razorback football tickets are going to rise.

The price increase of $10 per ticket will be applied to Southeastern Conference games. An additional $10 charge will be levied on the two games being played in Little Rock.

The price increases comes riding on the wave of heightened expectations for the team. Offensive minded coach Bobby Petrino is back for his third season and his arsenal is packed with a strong contingent of talented returnees.

Arkansas is committing $500,000 from the Little Rock games to War Memorial Stadium improvements and additions. War Memorial Stadium Commission Chairman Gary Smith expressed his gratitude stating “We appreciate the commitment the University of Arkansas and the athletic department has made to Central Arkansas, and we want to work together to maintain our long-term relationship”.

The “enhanced ticket revenue” is also being used, in the words of athletic director Jeff Long to “meet the needs of our program to compete and succeed in the Southeastern Conference and nationally”.
